Our Emergency Food Distribution Program

Thanapara Swallows Development Society has distributed the food items among the helpless and destitute people affected by the COVID pandemic. On Tuesday morning at Thanapara Swallows premises, 2 thousand 4 hundred and fifty kg of rice, 7 hundred kg of pulses and 7 hundred liters of oil, 7 hundred kg of flour and 1 thousand and fifty kg of potato and 7 hundred pcs egg were distributed among 350 families.  The selected families were from handicraft producers, farmers from Agriculture program and borrower from micro credit program. The financial support of this food aid was given by Emmaus International, France. Municipal Mayor Ekramul Haque was a chief guest to hand over these food kits to the people.

The Executive Director Raihan Ali said following this, food items were handed over to them again. At the time were also present Mahmuda Begum (Guinea), Assistant Director of Thanapara Swallows, councilor Ajmal Hossain Moti, Jahangir Hossain, Jamal Uddin, women councilor Firoza Begum, Sajjad Hossain, President of Awami League Municipal branch, Jannatul Muntehira Mautushi Ela other officials of the organization.
